Banana-strawberry milkshake recipe—cool and refreshing

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, cut in half
  • 1 big strawberry or 2 small strawberries, cut
  • milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Place cut banana in blender. Add strawberries. I like a heavy banana flavour but if you don’t, feel free to modify the strawberry-to-banana ratio.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla (optional, I often don’t include it).
  3. Add enough milk to cover half the banana. Sorry that this is a very unhelpful measurement. The amount of milk should be enough to create a liquid drink, but without overpowering the flavour of the fruits.
  4. Blend ingredients until smoothie texture is acquired.
  5. Add an ice cube, blend an ice cube (I’m afraid to hurt the blender, or myself) or refrigerate to chill.

This recipe also works as a banana-only milkshake, or you can experiment with your favourite fruits.
